UK Youth Parliament 2015 Dorset Candidates

Hello, my name is Jack Dunne and I’m 16 years old and I’m standing for the UK Youth Parliament this year, and I want you to vote for me. After talking to many young people in my area and viewing reports in the media, I believe that employment is a major issue for the youth of today. Currently, unemployment in Dorset is 22 per cent and the majoirty of children won’t be able to afford their own homes when they’re older If elected, my main focus will be to secure youth employment I don’t promise a single-focus issue but I promise instead, an issue which can tackle lots of things and involves all of us This allows us greater independence improvement of the youth image and creditable life skills So I ask you – if you want an NYP who can tackle major issues vote for me, Jack Dunne this February Thank you I’m Crystal Lily-Mills I’m 16 years old and I want to stand for election because I’m really passionate about representing young people and putting their views across The manifesto point that I’ll be running on this year will be ‘challenging negative stereotypes and positive publicity for young people’ I believe this is a massive issue in our society and we should educate more people in not judging anyone based on their ethnicity, sexual orientation gender or disability I believe everyone should be treated equally and I would like to put your views across I would love to represent you, so please vote for Crystal-Lily Mills in February Thank you Hi, my name is Grace Van-Zyl I’m 14 years old and I want to stand to represent young people and to change Dorset for the better my manifesto is for cheaper leisure facilities especially for the disabled and disadvantaged I’ve already started this campaign and I really need your support I’m extremely passionate about this and I will also generate great media attention for young people and a healthier future I’m here for you, so please vote for me Grace Van-Zyl Thanks Hi, I’m Grace Hill and I’m 12 years old I’m standing for election because I believe I can make a difference my manifesto is the employment of young people I think this is important because many young people need or want jobs in order to earn money or gain independence however, many employers are not willing to take on young people as employees as this is a big risk so please vote for me, Grace Hill and support my youth employment campaign thank you Hi, my name is Sarah Trott and I’m 13 years old I’m standing in the elections because I strongly believe that young people are this world’s future and deserve to have their opinions respected and listened to you should vote for me to represent your voice because I’m confident, friendly and passionate I’m happy to speak infront of large audiences I love to share my opinions and ideas in debates I’m approachable, a good listener dedicated and prepared to work extremely hard to get your voice heard my manifesto point is to campaign to reduce instances of bullying in Dorset to achieve this, I want to standardise an anti-bullying policy in Dorset schools if you want a brighter future for young people where your voice is listened to vote Sarah Trott in February Hi, I’m Lucy I’m 16 years old and I’m standing for UK Youth Parliament locally, nationally and globally the world is changing every day and although these changes may seem a thousand miles away to you they are impacting us daily as young people we are the future and we need out voices to be heard my manifesto is to campaign for positive publicity of young people I want to help give positive press to young people I am standing because I think I can make a huge difference to the society we live in and I am forever trying to improve things for future generations if I was voted in, it would not only be a huge step into a bigger world for me but I would also be representing young people like you so please vote for Lucy in the upcoming elections Hi, my name is Iga I am standing for election because I am determined to change our society for better and for the benefit of young people we should have all the resources availible to us as we are the people that will change our future my manifesto points are we all like doing some sort of sport, but the main thing putting us off is a lack of cycling paths this is unpleasant and very dangerous and puts us off a lot but having cycling paths, young people have more determination to do more sports to increase the number of cycling paths in Dorset as we have all experienced the problem when we want to go for a ride but have nowhere to go to create safer routes for all as traffic is increasing, cycling is getting more and more dangerous cycling is a huge benefit to our health as it keeps us in great condition as we are the future of our world we all know that cycling has big health benefits as it reduces illnesses such as diabetes and obesity I will represent every young person including you if you feel that this affects you I promise to put my manifesto into action thank you, vote for me this February Iga Sikorska Hello, my
